Default Adjustable clutch cable question

I have theSteedaadjustable cable kit andI wanted to know if you have to readjust the cable every now and then? My clutch is slipping pretty bad and it's only a year and a half old. I can let my car come to almost a complete stop in 2nd gear and it doesn't stall. The car also does 0-60 in like 20 seconds now.

hey man i have the steeda adjustable also, you might have to adjust it because the clutch will wear down and therefor change the point of where the clutch engages and disengages, or your clutch just might be shot, try tightening it up, but really once its set you shouldnt have to change it, and it is probably the clutch is done for.

have you adjusted it since the "new" clutch was installed?

it sounds like your clutch is shot.my guess would be because of poor adjustment.

for future reference, adjust the clutch so that there isbetween 1"and 2" of freeplay in the pedal.

Yeah it was adjstusted after the new motor was put in late last spring. Wouldn't tightening the firewall adjuster make the clutch disengage?
