Yea i agree, kind of. Dont you think its more fun to do the modifying yourself? But, if you can get receipts/paperwork and completely trust the car is in excellent condition maybe go for it. Although if it were me i would start with a terminator if i was going to upgrade. Even a highly modified car such as this will never be worth as much as a good termi

RE: im thinking about buying another car?
I have to say that I completely disagree with the idea that just because a car is modified/heavily modified its going to have problems and has been beat on..
You sold a modified car yourself code, and bought another already modified one.ZW99GT saved a PILE of money buying his car already built. Considering the above car will probably sell for what, 12K max, and has in just the motor and blower setup something around 7K+ in it, not to mention the other mods and purhase price.
No doubt a modifed car MAY have problems, and might have been beat on, but the same can be said of a unmodified car as well. IMO if you check out the car and it looks like its in good condition, drives/crusies well, and pulls thru the gear your just as likely to get a modified car in good condtion as if it was stock. of course, if its got dents/dings etc all over it and looks like its never been garaged its probalby not a good buy.
Lets put it this way, if I could do it over again I would rather pay 12K for a built motor/vorteched car than have the money I have in mine and still have a stock motor. its not worth it to say you "built it yourself" imo.

Yah, unless ya personally know the car. The other thing that stood out is the car only has 60K miles and he lists the interior as "fair". Sounds like someone didn't take very good care of the car. Again, just my .02

+1 be careful buying someone else's hotrod.

RE: im thinking about buying another car?
I understand what your saying with someone can still beat up an unmodified car but its less likely. I bought my car from a girl. It was spotlless and without any mods she took it to a dealer for everything. Ihighly doubt she drove around trying to chirp the gears from every stop sign. Hers my point if you wanted a car to drive fast as hell everywhere are you gonna pick an unmodified car or are you gonna pick a fully built supercharged car that you gonna drive like you stole it? Im not saying its not possible for someone to drive a not so fast car with a lead foot like my car and me lol. But its less likely.

RE: im thinking about buying another car?
I see a number of people on this and other forums with highly modified (street legal) cars that they worship, keep clean and rarely drive -let alone beat on. On the other hand, there are also a number of those who brag and post videos of the beatings that they give their cars. I bet that for every highly modified-street -Mustang thatgets beat down, there is another with an owner too proud or careful to do the same.

RE: im thinking about buying another car?
Is it possibly he's making such high numbers with only 12 PSI? I'm suprised he is making those numbers with just that, unless he has a fully built pure race motor..
