car running to lean?

Default car running to lean?

My check engine light came on the other day and i went to this place and got my engine read it said my car was running to lean. Im not really sure what that means and how to fix it. I was told the O2 sensors was probably the problem but I wanna know from mustang owners and how many O2 sensors do I have on my 02 Mustang GT and thing will help thanks guys

Don't assume it is the O2 sensors, that can be a costly fix and it will be even worse if it doesn't fix the problem.If you have an offroad x pipe your o2 sensors willnot be reading accurrate information and will throw acel.Did autozone tell you that you needed o2 sensors? They are notorious for plugging in the computer and trying to sell people parts they don't need. If it is really bugging you take it to someone and have them diagnose it, might cost you some money but thats the price you pay.

no it was a place like autozone in alaska and my friend plugged it up. I have a friend that will do it for free the O2 sensors but i dont know if thats the prob he seems like he know alot and he said it sounds like my car is running to lean.

well you can't tell if your car is running lean by the sound it makes.you know it is because the computer told you that, now you have to figure out why. Get themultimeter out andstart checking things. Goodluck.

my check enigine liught came on saying that also . It ended up being a exhasut leak from my header to X pipe.
