replacing coolant
i know replacing coolant is an easy task but its my first time doing it to my car which has that coolant crossover tube. im not too familiar with that.do idrain the coolant andfill it up from the crossover tube or can i just do the drain and fill it up in the coolant bottle? i know that the coolant crossover is higher than the radiator so then id have to worry about air bubbles. how would i then bleed it, or burp it? help me..

RE: replacing coolant
drain it. fill it with water. run it for a few minutes. then drain again. you can burp it just like a normal vehicle, just takes a little longer. took about 1.75 bottles of freeze to do my car. if your fluid looks really nasty, drain it then pour in prestones super flush and add water. that will clean it right out.

RE: replacing coolant
i dont know how a GTs engine bay looks like but in my cobra i have the cooling system that is all pressurized. even the coolant bottle. and i also have a coolant crossover tube and ive read that i have to drain the coolant, then fill it from the fill plug on the crossover tube. and i was trying to ask if i can just fill it up from the tube because the fill plug on the crossover tube is stuck in place. do you get me?

RE: replacing coolant
you pour in the liquid via the coolant bottle. if you want to take care of the issue with the fillplug being stuck, buy PB Blaster or high strenth WD40 and that will jar it loose after a few minutes. i did everything via the coolant bottle/overflow tank. just burp as normal using the hose that runs from the top of the engine.
