never driven a ws6 but gotta love the cobra. they are great fun to mod and drive. they are both high miles but so thats not much difference. but i would say the cobra is most reliable, without seeing or driving either of them obviously. and also a bit more powerfull i would say

I'd pass on both just because of the mileage.
However, having said that, if you can get the Trans Am for under 4K, and the Cobra for under 6, then perhaps they might be worth it.
Don't forget that Trans Am is a 14+ year old car, and it's 'just' an LT1. Not bashing on GM, or LT1's or anything else, but seperate yourself from the desire to own the car and look at what it is.
A 100K + mile 14 year old sports car that has likely seen its share of abuse.

They both make about the same power and have great engines. Assuming they were the same price I would take the WS6 because I much prefer the F-body design to the SN95 and it has slightly less miles and most importantly, fewer mods. Not that there's anything wrong with buying a car with mods, I would just rather have something as close to stock as possible.

Second of all do you want a car for racing or just to drive around thats a reliable car???
Because its not the same as getting a stock car and you have more fun to see the improvement from stock to mod...and getting a mod car sometimes its not a good choice because you would have to fix little mistakes that the previous owner never finished...
If i would you i would think about it really good and make a good choice...

Any used car is a risk butthat doesn 't stop people from spendinggood money on 100k mile cars all the time. On the other hand, these are performance cars so their history is a little more questionable. You should determine what your needs are - daily driver, street and strip, project car, etc. Use common sense and perform the usual checks, testdrives and questioning. TheCobrashould have an edge inoverall performance.Either carmight be worth buying if it meets your needs andits price is right.
