Default O2 sensors

I put an O/R X-pipe on my 2000 GT and want to get rid of the check engine light, also sometimes the car runs horrible and won't stay running unless my foot is on the gas. I'm also getting terrible gas mileage. MILs might get rid of the light but won't help the way it runs, right? Can't I just get the O2 sensors drilled into the pipe, problem solved? Let me know the best route to go, thanks!

no i just did my o/r h install a couple weeks ago and the sensors wont read anymore if the mils are put in cuz the signal that the computer wants is already being replicated by the eliminators. they only cost me 10 dollars to make myself. they will get rid of the CEL and make you run right again. unless you have more issues. But since you dont have a secondary O2 sensor readout for the computer, it runs your car in limp mode, and runs it really rich to avoid detonation i believe, thats why you get ****ty mpg's. i recomend you do what i did and if you can afford it buy a tuner. well worth the money. good luck and i hope i helped

The mils should solve your problem because it will trick your computer to run normal.

A HUGE help everyone, thanks! I'll definitely get the MILs. Where are the wires exactly to plug them in? My car is lowered and is a nightmare to get under, I'm assuming my exhaust guy just tucked them somewhere. Just plug in the MILs and I'm good or do I need a tune? Thanks again, I'm anxious to get my baby running perfect again!

Did they take out all four O2 sensors?

you must not have plugged the front O2 sensors back in. You have 4. Two before the cats and 2 after the cats. The ones after the cats are emissions only. their absence won't make your car run like crap. The two before the cats will. Those two control the air/fuel fix in the engine. Did you just unplug them and leave them hanging loose?
