for the strip, you want the front loose at 1, and the rear a tad stiffer, maybe at 2 or 3.
For the road, most performance oriented guys like tight stiff handling, so you may want to do 4 infront and 8 in back

You need performance springs to reap the benefits of a performance strut; KYBs aren't good performance struts and shocks once you lower your car since their made to be used with stockride heigt.

My Qa1 shocks are similar to that but on a more extreme level. Mine were spherical bushings I had to install on bothe ends and there is no rubber at all in them. They came with mounts but I fit them in the stock mounts temp while I was have the others modified at the machine shop. The more performance orentated they are the more changes you will see in design.
