Default Suspention ... 04 GT 40th Anniversary

I'm wanting to lower my car a hair not too much just to give it that mean look. Am I going to need struts, casters, and all the works or will be well off with springs and shocks? Wanting to know if I need to go all out or if smaller means will mess up my ride.

If you just want a drop I would say just replace/clip the springs. The only thing you will need to do is get an alignment so you dont have excessive camber.

Think my shocks would bottom out? Am putting on Eibach Pro Kit with a 1.5"f 1.5"r drop.

I have the same car.I also installed the Eibach Pro Springs. You should also replace the
shocks/struts. The stock ones suck.

If you just want to lower a little, get the Cobra springs, as I believe they're a bit shorter, and a little stiffer.. Toss the isolators, and get a decent alignment, with a smidge of negative camber, and fairly neutral toe..

usually when you go lower than 1.5 inches is when you'll need the shocks and struts and caster/camber plates. several people just get the pro kit springs and are fine, but if you want a better ride quality get the shocks and struts also. brenspeed has shock&strut packages for a good price thats where i got mine. i went with a 2in drop so i upgraded all of it, i doubt you'll need to

I don't believe the cobra springs will work, they have IRS. I went with Ford C springs and Tokico HP shocks/struts and I couldn't be happier. I got a little over
an inch and a 1/4 drop in the front and 3/4" in the rear. Looks, handles, and rides great. I did not need CC plates either. Total came to about $420 for everything.
