Caliper help
ok so i need new brake pads badly.....like its almost donw to bare caliper and no pad. So my pads came in and i decided i was going to do the whole thing myself being that it is extremely unsafe to drive my car right now. So i took the front right wheel off. I then figured out that i would need a 12mm socket or wrench to remove the first bolt. After cursing and endless effort the bolt refused to give. Now I need suggestions on what I should do, because when i brake I can hear the metal grinding.

RE: Caliper help
I had the same problem with the Caliper mounting bracket on my Driver's side... I used Breaker bars, air tools, and heat and still wouldn't come off.. Thankfully, that rotor wasn't too worn, as it was replaced last year due to a caliper blow out...
Heat is probably your best bet..
Did you already get the Caliper out of the mounting bracket?? It's a pain sometimes w/ the Floating calipers.. Too many components..
