Squeak when clutch pedal is being pushed in and let out
Yesterday I installed my quadrant and firewall adjuster. Today when I was just pushing the clutch in with the car turned off, I noticed that there was a creak/squeak during the motion of pushing the pedal in and out. It is coming from the transmission where the cable is attached.
Anyone have any ideas?

Similiar to that. I noticed that it only does it when it has been sitting. I drove it and turned it off then tried it and the car didn't make a noise. It is very humid around here lately so maybe that could cause something.

There is a spherical bushing in there that lets the cable rotate freely so it doesnt get caught up/cut up on the arm behind the dust shield. It could possibly be worn/dried out and squeak a tiny amount. If anything its probably your pressure plate fingers making a noise as you push down on it.

It could be the throw-out bearing possib. but Did you replace the clutch cable or not and if its stock how many miles it may be getting gummed up from the age. There are a few different things..

The car has 12k miles. I highly doubt that anything is worn out. It goes away once it has been used driving so I think it may just be the humidity sitting when the car is off.
