so iv heard about people putting in a divorced exhaust in V6 stangs sometimes instead of using a Y H or X. what would happen if i ran a divorced exhaust in my gt? so go strait from each head strait to my Borla without cats and without connecting the 2 sides with a X or H? im thinking it would affect the back pressure and wouldnt allow them to flow evenly. but how much would that affect it and how would it sound?

It wont sound as good. A good tone comes from the exhaust meeting up at one point, the joint at the midpipe. Thats why at higher rpms or speeds, H pipes sound a bit different cause the air is moving so fast it completely bypasses the middle part, almost having the same thing as straight pipes.

Personally thats why i prefer X over H.

Thats why an X will also make 1-2 more ponies at higher rpms. They force the exhaust pulses to equalize with eachother.
