It'll make a difference, once you free up ponies with exhaust work. You will be feeding the engine more air, but with the stock equipment it won't be able to pump it out faster to compensate for the large air intake... <IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">

you need more than exhaust work to get the most from a t/b. You need to aslo consider a mass air meter, and intake plenum. Or maybe porting the one ya already have, but the t/b can only make use of the air that is being brought in. To get better use of air, you need a setup that will take in more air the the t/b to use.

What more do you need? </P>

I"m getting the off road X pipe with straight through mufflers from Magnaflow(magnapacks). Would adding a throttle body be beneficial to me? </P>

so long as you didn't go any larger than 70mm you should be okay, but don't go any larger unless you plan to supercharge your ride. W/out doing a M.A.M., you are pushing it w/a 70mm as it is, but a 75mm would definitely have you hurting for some lowend. If you are not going to purchase a mass air kit of some kind...I might say get a 65mm instead (I believe the '02's are 62mm).</P>

I'd say look in to C&amp;L,or Pro-M for your M.A.M. upgrades. Those two are the ones I am most familiar w/. I am also told it is not difficult to configure a homemade one, but I opted a buy instead, because I didn't really want to be bothered w/all that.</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37921.5053356482</editDate></edited>
