This is all you really need: http://optionimports.com/3510-14a.html

But it’s not a bad idea to do the shocks at the same time…

I can certainly recommend the Eibach Sportline springs and KYB struts. Perfect height and handling!

The only thing you NEED to lower it is a set of springs and maybe some CC plates.
(CC plates would depend on if they could properly align the front end after your drop.)

You definitely do not need shocks, they can give you a ride that will compliment your new springs, but the stock ones will work just fine….And if anyone tells you that the stock shocks “will go bad†if you leave them in place is talking out their backside.

I like MY SPRINGS

How so?

Maybe they won't go bad, but they won't function as they should. If you have 6" of travel and you lower your car 2". you've taken away 1/3 of your dampening power.

So you're a friggin idiot if you don't eventually fix that problem.

If you want.... there are Tokico packages that designed their Springs to work with their Shocks....there are two different packages one lowers approx. 1 inch and the other 1.5 inches

Think it through before you start calling names....2" of drop is not 2" less shock travel now is it? [>:] Not only that, but your car at ride height does not have 6" of compression...

A shock does nothing more than dampen the ride, it does not have "progressive damping" so as long as the shock is riding in it's intended range of travel it does not care if it's 1" into it or 2" into it as long as it does not hyperextend or bottom out.. It will not bottom out because you still have stock bumpstops, and it is less likely to hyperextend because you are deeper into the stroke to begin with. All shocks ride in the middle of the shock stroke, that way the tire will drop into a pot hole instead of the whole car dropping in.

...and remember 2 inches of drop is not 2" more into the shocks travel, your tire is at the end of a lever (A-arm) and your shock is towards the middle of the lever so....less change.

"dampening power" ??? Like I said, shocks are not progressive damping, if you only have 3" of compression with your new springs untill you hit your bumpstops, You can put on 40 different shocks, and you still only have the same 3" to your bumpstop

So please explain to this idiot how a stock shock will go bad, or a new shock will have more travel than a stock one???

I expected more from a mod, like maybe a discussion before name calling [&:]
