I agree with gears! 4.10's if you do some highway driving, 4.30's if you do all city.

And don't get SLOWMASTERS! Sure they may sound good, but other exhausts sound just as good and don't have baffles. Flowmasters FTL!

Go with Magnaflow.

Like posted above, gears are the best bang for the buck. Another option is a top end swap with a 4v. I've seen some 4v top ends going for under $500. No matter what you want to do with the head issue, you NEED a gear. My opinion is a 4.10 as the absolute highest I would go, preferribly a 4.56. Nitrous is also a good bang for the buck.

Just curious how is Magnaflow the same as Flowmasters?! Flowmaster has a baffle design which is restrictive........Whereas Magnaflow is a straight through, non baffle design. How is that similar? That's not comparable in any way!

Borla's are non baffle and straight through also, I believe.

in modified mustang they put a borla cat back on a stock 02 gt and gained 10 hp at the rear and like 8 or 12 tq. the best dyno iv seen for a cat back from an outside company. there one of the best out there.

The best mods are those that fit an overall plan and won't have to be replaced later. I suggest a K&N air filter as a first mod. It gives you almost all of the benefits of a new cold air intake (CAI) at a much lower price. Actually I've heard that the pretty metal CAIs have heat sink problems. While you're developing your overall plan, I suggest a shifter and cat-back exhaust. Both can be used with almost any other mod that you will do. Pretty much the same with a good tuner and gears.

If you've done the above and still do not know where you want to take the car then work on the suspension. All the horsepower in the world doesn't do any good unless you can get it to the ground.

Make a plan and build to your plan. For example, you do not want to buy underdrive pulleys or a CAI if you intend to get a supercharger. You do not want to buy long-tube headers if you intend to get a turbocharger. Some mods complement each other and some you have to take off.

i want to start with the exhaust. try to make my car breath as best as she can.
Exhaust and Gears.... Gears make the boys jaws drop, while WOT Exhaust makes the girls panties drop.

you will find over the course of your stay at MustangForums that steve likes to talk out his **** quite frequently. subsequently, you will find countless posts that need to be called out, or correct. Here at MF we try not to judge our members, so understand Steve is a little retarded and he will make mistakes.

had to steven......
