this may be a stupid question but, everytime i get a full tank of gas i let it stop on its own(topped off). for some reason it always leaks a little out of the fill nozzle and some comes out of that little excess pipe that goes straight to the ground. its kinda strange. my dad has a taurus and it doesnt do that. do you think something is wrong with the fill nozzle or what? o and btw, inside the nozzle theres this little silver or shiny looking door thats supposed to close right after you take the gas pump out, well mine doesnt go back in place. it just stays pushed inward. idk if you guys get me, its just something that has been bothering me. i probably waste 1/8 mile of gas that drips on the floor. lol

There is a gasket between the fill tube and the tank. Mine was damaged when I had a new fuel pump installed and when I filled the tank gas poured on the ground. You may need a new gasket.
