B heads were on the early 96-98 Cobra's and 93-98 Lincoln Mark VIII's. C heads were found on 99/01 Cobra's and are commonly called "tumbleport" heads due to their design.
oh ok so the c heads are ones im most likely going to get
They are good heads, don't get me wrong by my posts above. I was merely correcting the fact that 03/04 castings are definately superior to the C heads, but for most people are not required. If it's a max effort N/A 4V or FI car, the 03/04 heads are a MUCH better option.
thanks for all the info, for now I will plan on the c heads. is it worth getting those heads ported and polished?
What are your goals for power production? I've made over 600rwhp on stock untouched C heads, which to me is more than enough power for a street vehicle.
I would like to get about 400rwhp NA if i can, maybe later get a supercharger.
I suggest a .020" overbore shortblock, ported C heads, Comp or FR500 cams and a ported/shortrunner intake. It will make great power, and even better with boost.
