Which car is faster, the stock Cobra Mustang or the Saleen series? I am looking to get one, but I want to know which one is faster?

like a s/c 03 saleen vs a s/c 03 cobra? bear this in mind the cobra has twice as many valves as the saleen does.

plus, in the 03-04 cobrathere are some serious internals. cast iron block with aluminum heads, fully counterweighted forged crankshaft, 4v, DOHC, chain drive to exhaust cams, secondary chains from exhaust to intake cams, roller finger followers with hydraulic lash adjustment, oval-wire beehive shaped valve springs. Much better for upgrades, can handle a lot more.

The E car engine is all forged as well, and has a MUCH more capable blower than a stock 03-04 Cobra. Without swapping the blower, the S281E has a tremendous amount of more potential over a stock 03-04 Cobra.

The cobra is faster. Its the fastest produtcion mustang ever built so far. Until the new cobra.

In 02, the first S281E's were made. They were rated at 425hp. In 03 they were re-rated at 445hp. The 05 S281E is rated at 500 hp.
