suspension and autocrss
So i guess the title says it all,
I running stock suspension with cut springs in the front.
I got a autocross event in a month and it s mostly bmw and porsche with some subaru ,mazda
i be the only mustang there and i don t want to make a fool out of myself.
I wanting to start on my suspension so i can be ready for it.
brakes should be fine ,since it s not really high speed.
plus i got my rotors machined and new front pads a week ago.
i know it s a lot of suspension components,
but what s the most important for the event.
instead of buying parts at a time i just want to get a kit all together.
any ideas would be appreciated thanks

Check out Maximum Motorsports http://www.maximummotorsports.com/
It will cost allot of $ to be competitive in an Auto X. The only car that will have a chance of being in your class will be the Subaru. If your car is stock your best bet is to keep it that way and run in a stock class. Once you start adding mods to your car you end getting put into a Modified class that you probably wont be competitive in.
I've done 2 AutoX this year and I had to run in SM class that is dominated by Modified Subaru's it hard enough to keep up with a stock one let alone a modified one
Your best bet it to go and have fun and try to beat your own time each time out

Yeah if you just hit the lottery check out overpriced maximum motorsports. If not you will have to buy the correct parts at different places. I would highly suggest coilovers up front at a minimum, subframes, heavier duty anti roll bars, and stiff springs in the back with adjustable shocks.

well, i've on a pretty tight budget unfortunately since I'm moving so i just want to get something to make the car better so i don t break something being that rough on the car.
How is the stock suspension hold up.
maybe get some springs and shocks and sub frame connectors.
i don t think i need to worry about the control arms ,caster plates, ball joint, sway bars for now i think.
but i will probably have about 500$

Driver skill is the most important by a long shot. If you suck it won't matter how good the car is. And you will suck if it's your first time. Otherwise CC plates, full length SFCs, and a panhard bar would be a good start.

This is a very good point. If you have $500 to spend I would save it and just make sure they car is in good mechanical order. Brakes, tires, fluid levels, etc.
