Default Grill Delete - Cannot Find 1 I like!

The only grill delete that I’ve seen that I like is from the MustangWorld “How To” (for 94 - 98 models) here: http://www.mustangworld.com/speedshop/grille/grille.htm

I haven’t taken my grill apart but in just glancing at it, it appears that you can get something like this to fly. Does anyone else have any ideas or has anyone else tried this?

Save ur self the dough and buy some wire lathe 7.99 a sheet from Home Depot or Lowes. Cut to match and enjoy. Make sure to put in right side up..so that the mesh effect is angled upward. Very strong and never corrodes (aluminum). The sheet gives you enough to do the opening below...and even over the fog lamps.

That’s exactly what I was thinking (but wanna paint it black) but have not had the time to check out materials at Lowe’s or the Depot - might have to do that on the way home this evening. Thanks!

I did that to my car and it looked really cheap, so I took it off. If it was black tho it would prolly looks a lot better.

Yea, I dropped by Lowe’s on the way home and the lathe stainless steel looks/feels kinda flimsy (but you can’t beat it for $7.99). I’m gonna look around for some other materials, like punched aluminum or something – I’ll let you all know what I decide to go with and post pics once done….

I did the gutter guard thing on my Contour. I painted the chrome and did a lot of dremmel work. The thing is, on the contour, you are going for the EURO look and like everybody else, trying not to look ricy. I really haven't seen a stang GT grill mod of any type that I care for much except maybe a genuine grill delete. I would like to see some cool billet honeycomb type look.
