Default clutch adjustment?!?!

I have a 97 Mustang GT 5-speed... I was wondering if there is anyway to adjust the clutch? Maybe it self adjusts if I pull up on it? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks guys...

Yes, you can pull up on the clutch pedal. They have a plastic adjustment quad and pawl. If you have some $$, I recommend a billet quadrant and adjustable cable.

the only real way to adjust it is to pull up on it then push it straight to the floor, it should self adjust as you drive it, but if you get an adjustable cable and firewall adjuster along with a solid quadrant you can adjust everything then

Besides that way of lifting the pedal there is a manaul way to adjust the stock quandrant, but you have to climb underneath the dash to do it. there is a thread describing how to do it....let me look

A solid quadrant is a good way to go, I have already snapped the stock plastic.

You will feel the pedal pop, pull up on it firm, dont yank it and it should adjust itself just fine. Took me 2 days to figure that out, I was ****ing pissed...
