Default New Mustang Owner.... got some ?s

Hey wussup ya'll? My name is Shane, and I'm the proud owner of a new (to me) '99 GT Conv. I LOVE this car, but I've got some questions about it and hopefully ya'll can help me. First of all, is it stupid to just lower the front of the car 1"? I just want a more aggresive stance. Secondly, on a '99 GT, what kind of scoop would you recommend getting so it's semi-functional (obviously there wouldn't be any sort of intake what with the air flow and not having any sort of intake attached to the scoop, but it would help the engine breathe, right?) Also, I know about H-Pipes and X-Pipes cause I've done my homework, but, I went to the local exhaust man and he said not only would I need the off-road H-Pipe (no emissions here) but I would also need some sort of O2 sensor simulator or something like that. Any idea what he was talking about cause I can't find ANY info about that particular part. Also, my driver's side window is acting funny. When I roll it down, it goes almost all the way and then locks in place and just clicks. I can still roll it up, but not down any further than 3/4 of the way. Will a motor repair kit take care of this or do I need to go to the EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE window guy down the road? And finally, do they make the rims (below) in anything other than 17"? I want either a set of 16" for the front, or 18" for the back. (Again for an aggresive stance) Thanks ya'll!

Here's some info on a product to resolve the O2 sensor issue. The two sensors behind the stock cats while cause a MIL (malfunction indicator light) to illuminate when used on an O/R midpipe. You can also use an aftermarket tuner such as a Diablo Predator to turn the rear O2 sensors off.

Welcome to the forums DCFREAK

The information above about the rear O2 sesors is correct, you can either get MIL eliminators or a tuner and shut off the rear O2 sensors.

About your lowering question....everyone lowers the 99+ stangs. Mine is dropped 1.5" in the front and 0.8" in the rear with BBK progressive rate springs. It gives it that aggressive stance you are going for.

you won't want to lower just the front.... you handling will suck *****. And if the "local exhaust guy" says you have to have an H-pipe, go somewhere else. you can run an X-pipe if you feel so inclined. I would suggest that if you do modify your exhaust yoou get both a mid pipe and catback system. Good luck. I have no clue about your window issue or the sizes available in those wheels. I would however suggest you get yourself a lowers kit that lowers the front slighty more than the rear (like the kit mentione din the previous post) and keep the same size wheels all the way around. Unless you're going to get some wider ones on the rear.
