If you just put a charger on that thing, DO NOT drive it anywhere other than like around the block...and DONT even think about goosin' that pedal at all. The wait is well worth it, I've heard so many "woe is me" stories with people using the mail order tune or incorrect tune and drivin these cars... Detonation is a bad thing. And your buddies tune wont work for crap...especially with the wrong injectors tuned in. Thats like asking if running a stock MAF will work with 42lb injectors... NO!

stay out of boost if you make the decision to drive that far. I'd trailer it just to be safe, but not everyone has access to car hauler.

thats a really long drive with no tune, ask yourself if it's cheaper to get it hauled or to lose your motor?

+1... dont bomb the motor.. any friends with a trailer?? even one of those u-haul car haulers would work like the ones where you just put the front wheels on it..

You may want to get a hold of either U-haul or even your local towing company. It's gonna cost you a bit (especially if you go with the latter), but MUCH less than replacing your motor. Promise.
