Default Oil in T/B hosing

I replaced my IAC, and to get to the bottom bolt easier I disconnected the hose that runs from the PCV valve to the t/b on the inlet to the t/b there was a small amount of oil. Just so I know i'm right this means the valve is bad correct??

it has 51k miles, and the oil is easily less than a teaspoon like maybe 3-4 drops from an eye dropper. i know how to check the pcv valve by shaking it but if its leaking too much then i should replace it.

That's called oil pullover. All engines have "some" pullover, and some have more than others. That amount is ok though, won't harm anything. It's when you pull that line and it runs out all over is when you have a problem.

If you've heard of oil catch cans, or PCV seperators, that's what they are for.
