Question Exhaust Problems

Hey guys I wanted to get any advice on fixing my exhaust problem. Ever since I change my cats to high flow cats, the nuts on them keep on getting loose. I also have jba headers so pretty much all thats stock are the nuts and bolts that hold them. I took it to Midas and they tighten it back up and it worked for about two hours and they got loose again and started making noise. I can really feel the loss of power. I heard i need some like spring bolts or something. If so, where can I get them.

The nuts on the.......h-pipe???? Do you have a stock h-pipe with high flow cats welded in? The details are overwhelming dude.

If you have high flow cats bolted in then just weld em in

I think I might understand, with the cats def. just get them welded in. Now the bolts that hold the headers on you can get the lock bolts a link is posted below if those are what keeps backing out?? Also a few friends have put in lock washers and those have worked. For the header bolts here you go:

well i got an x-pipe on it. and the problem is where the end of the headers meet with the cats. but i really actually never thought of welding them together. thanks for the idea. i think that will be the quickest way to solve my problem.

your not going to want to weld the headers to the xpipe. If i read it correctly. Its going to be hard to remove the trans if the xipie is welded to the headers. take a pic of what your talking about and post it.

Exactly, what I was tryin to get at as if he had like a stock H-pipe and flanged/bolted in a set of high flow cats instead of the stockers... But I assumed wrong.

This guy keeps using the word cats...Do you mean the x pipe itself where it bolts with the 2 studs/nuts at the collector? If those keep backing off, then you might have bad studs. Take it to an exhaust shop, have new studs installed, then put new nuts on it and you should be straight... For no reason should they just back out like that unless the stud is damaged. I've seen the threads literally rust right off when you unbolt it for the first time..
