Default Clutch squeaking = NOT throwout bearing

I have something to share that's kinda useful. If you experience a clutch squeal from behind the pedal assembly, its not your throwout bearing. I got mine replaced, and the squeak didn't go away. It's most likely your clutch cable. =) By the way, on to my question: I just got a new clutch cable.. how do I install it? I heard it's very easy.

lol. its kinda a pain but you unbolt it from the tranny and then get under the steering column area and unbolt it from the pedal. sounds simple but it just takes some time and finesse.

Yeah, it's a stock clutch so there's no adjusting or anything right? Do you run it thru the firewall?

um if i remember correctly there is an adjuster right by where it hooks up to the tranny. just adjust it to where it is really tight and there is no slack in the pedal. i adjusted mine to where it is just about to be disengaging so i can push the pedal only about half way and its already done. then again i bought an aftermarket clutch cable kit with a firewall adjuster and metal quadrant for fine tuning adjustment. just make sure it is not trying to be disengaging when your foot isnt even on the pedal. that will wear your clutch out faster than anything
