Default 5.1L Stroker Kit?

Has anyone ran one ran a 5.1L stroker kit? Ive got about 80,000 miles on my stock long block and im thinking its time for a major upgrade. Forged 5.1L stroker kit...stage 2 comp cams...CNC patriot heads and intake...im ready for some serious power. The only thing holding me back is passing these lovely California emissions. So my question is has anyone had any experience with these kits and are they reliable?

A good friend of mine built a 5.1 stroker in a 98 GT, had pretty healthy compression, patriot heads, some kinda intake, and a 100 shot for good measure... Off the bottle is was a 130mph car....Im not sure on all the specs but it rans its ***** off

most of the people on here that have done the stroker kit thing will tell you it is a big waste of money.

crack does some horrible things to people...

people seem to think that the flow of the 2v head will slow down a car

while yes 2v head flow isnt that great the way you overcome that without power adders is increasing displacement

so no matter if its the 5.1 stroker kit or a 5.4 swap

there is no replacement for displacement

Dude if its done right it can be a major HP increase. For what its worth, the 5.1 car I know was beating up on basically everything under the sun here in my local area... So if you do a 5.1, do it right
