The only reason you need to run a higher octane fuel is if you advanced the timing a bunch. If you dont hear the rattling sound with engine load, 87 is fine.

Default Engine Oil

I've always used synthetic oils, I prefer Mobile1 because thats what I started with, but everyone has their own personal brand.

Mobile1 filters arent cardboard like fram either, so dont waste your money on expensive oil and then cut corners on a cheap filter.

Mobile1 high mileage has an agent in it that will make your gaskets swell, to help prevent or stop leaks, so if your worried about leaking somewhere pay the extra $6.

Im not sure exactly why, but i have destroyed seals a couple years ago switching an engine from synthetic back, but the engine was pushed hard. I've done it for friends since then in daily drivers and had no problems, but synthetic tends to leave traces of itself behind, so imo once you switch, dont go back.

mobile1 4 life =D
