Default Mach 360 Stereo - BAD ???

I had my stereo pumping for about 30 minutes yesterday while washing my '96 GT. I noticed the bass starting to fade out and realized the battery had gone dead. When trying to crank the car got the click, click of death indicating the battery did not have enough juice to turn the engine. OK, no big deal as this has happened before (not after 30 minutes though). I hooked the jumper cables up to my lil old jeep (a 1970 CJ5 pre-jeep...if anyone cares). Still not enough juice to crank the engine, in fact no click, click, no nothing at all. OK, I put the car on the 1amp trickle charger for about 10 hours. Still absolutely nothing when attempting to crank the car. What I did notice this time though is the battery meter shows about 11A...but when I turned on the stereo, it says BAD on the display. Additionally, when cranking I get the check engine and battery lights illuminated. Has my Mach 360 stereo become a car diagnostic tool? Is it indicating BAD power to it? I have to assume a battery cell has gone bad and the battery needs replaced. Any ideas?

wtf is a 360 system, I thought it was 460..... thats what I have anyway. If you played your radio on with the engine off (accessory switch, key turned back) then your battery is to blame.

when you tried to jump start the car, did you try the stereo? if it played fine while connected to the jeep, then i'd say the battery is your problem.

wtf, ok crucify me...it is a f'in 460 stereo system. My ignition switch is just about broke. I have to turn the switch and key carefully or they become dis-alligned (that probably isn't a f'in word either). The keyswitch will not turn back so I turn it forward to play the wtf stereo system.

The problem was the battery. Voltage was fine, but amperage was low. A deep charge seems to have done the trick, at least for now. BAD on the wtf stereo system must have been announcing that I did not have good power to the system.
