Default Not the average PI intake question

Hey ya'll, i gotta question about the PI intake. Is there any outside VISUAL difference between the PI intake and the Non PI intakes. I know what the performance differences are. I was just wondering, cuz i wanna put the PI intake and heads on my car but i don't wanna do something that's already been done do it. I don't know what the last guy did to it, so i don't wanna waste money on doing something it's already got. I have a 96 GT but i looked at my step-moms 04 GT and from the outside the intakes look the same. So again, my question is, is there any visual difference on the outside to distinguish between the two. Thanx

if i remember correctly the pi manifold has shorter runners. installed on the car, it will look the same. it's highly unlikely it has a pi intake.

Look under the manifold to see witch one (yours or your moms) sits down further into the valley of the block the pi one should hang down further than the non pi manifold. Hear is a pic of a pi manifold

Oh and there is another way to tell does your car accelerate fast up to about 4800rpm then fall flat on its face and then crawl the rest of the way up cuz if it does then you do not have pi heads and intake.

lol...... Its WICKED easy to tell the difference.

Look at youre intake.. or send us a pic. There NON-pi intake has VERY small runners like very cramped together. the PI intake has really fat runners. Also the non-pi on youre car will NOT have the aluminum runner in the front.
