Default 2000 GT - Diablosport question!

Hey guys, I finally got the silver/black GT I was waiting for. I'll post pictures up after I give it a good clean, but for now I have a question about a tuner that the guy handed over to me with the car.

Btw, I have what I guess you could say is minimal knowledge on cars, basically from reading posts on here and talking about it. The '00 mustang GT car is an auto with a few quality bolt-ons, including a K&N CAI and Magnaflow exhausts. And since we'll be talking about the tuner, I'll also mention that I am puttin in premium fuel, nothing less.

The guy had tuned out traction control before, and when he sold it to me we put the traction control back in (which I only plan on using in the rain) and he gave me the Diablosport Tuner for the GT. I know that you can use the tuner with the bolt-ons, but should I worry about the car's health if I use the "diablo" tune that comes with the tuner? There's a bit of a warning in the manual with "aftermarket" parts, but I think they're referring to more complicated add-ons right?

Thanks for the help,

Rob

Upload the diablo tune on there. It makes a difference,it def firms up the shiftpoints. Our autos are very sluggish when it comes to that. You dont have to worry about hurting the car. What kinda magnaflow do you have? I got magnapacks with O/R pipe and are mean as hell. Too loud

yea put the tune on trust ur stang will move alot better. i have my traction control off also better when u take off and if u want to burn tire, the tune will help ur transmisson and shift points, like b4 i put mine in i couldnt touch 5200 rpm bc it an auto now in hitting 6000 rpm and the transmisson kicks harder and faster. the only thing i didnt touch was the fuel not to sure about that.

Yeah thanks guys... it turns out that the car is already tuned for it. It runs sweet, so I wasn't complaining or anything, just curious about it.

I love the loudness of the magnaflow (not sure which one it is)... the radio covers it up well =)

I'm pretty sure there aren't going to be any conversations in that car past 5 mph though. Thanks though... hey wait one quick question though.

Stepping on the acceleration won't hurt the transmission right? I know it sounds a little dumb, but the car pushes and hooks so damn well I feel like continuing to do that would hurt it.

why would you turn the traction control off permanently? that sounds stupid to me.... i believe that a tune is the second best mod for an auto behind gears

Default Yup

That's what I've heard. The gears would definitely be badass for the car, but since I also use it for transportation around UF, I can't lower the mpg any more than it already is.

Yeah I didn't understand the reasoning behind just taking it out.. so I had it put back in.

gears won't drop your mpg for city driving, it might even improve it, but if you do a lot of highway driving, you will see a difference
