Default 98 Cobra motor

Ok, I have a 98 GT. My buddy has a 98 cobra motor that he's going to sell. How much horsepower does a 98 cobra have and should I buy it? I'm sure it has a lot more potential than my old 2vlave. What all would I have to do to get this 98 cobra motor to about 400rwhp N/A?

stock they were rated at 305 at the flywheel. 400 n/a at the wheels will prob cost you more than going with a s/c. but good luck to ya.

What all would I have to change in order to do this engine swap?

^^ +1 Well worth it. Of course check the condition the best you can and if price is reasonable, definitely get it.

I would go for it if you can get it for a decent price. I will be a great starting point over your npi 2v.

4V motors just have so much potential that the sky is the limit. Once you break the forged internals barrier there is no telling what you can do to that car. I have seen a dyno chart from a 1,110 rwhp 4.6 cobra motor. Believe it.
