steeda shifter???

Default steeda shifter???

i installed this tri-ax shifter in my car and have had nothing but trouble with it. this is what its doing its like the shifter needs adjustment or something when i try to go throught the gears sometimes it does not go to the gear its suppose to be in it seems like it locks up and then im not in any gear is this thing junk or did i install it wrong any help..>>

i never had anything like that happen. mine needed some force to get in gear at first, after driving it around more it started getting much better.

sounds like the stops are out(or in) too far. Check that out.

i see where the 2 stop bolts go in but it does not seem like they serve any purpose i put them in and the shifter did not come near the top 1 or bottom 1

what year model is your car. when ihad my v6, it had the t5, the same as the up to 2001 gt's. well they sent me the 3650 shifter, which bolts up but is a hair to short on the ball that goes into the trans. so when i went through the gears it was sloppy and pop out of the socket when i jammed it.

you're supposed to tighten those stops so they're touching the shifting, then ease them back so there's just a very tiny gap between them and the shifter.

dont no i havnt had that problem..first and reverse would sometimes stick but after about 2 weeks of driving it quit and goes in easy

its an awsome shifter though..get it to work and u will love it. smooth shifts and its hard to miss gears shifting from 2nd to 3rd is done with ease
