That big hole is for the coolant. But see how on the manifold there is only one bolt hole next to the coolant hose thing, but there are two holes on the head. Is that how Dorman made them? Also, that is where the leak came from. One of the gaskets was raised and didnt seem like it got a good seat on the head, which is where that other bolt hole should be. Am I making sense lol?

hmm yea ok now i see what you mean. im not sure if thats how dorman makes em but if thats the case and there is only one bolt hole there, thats one good reason to upgrade to a PI manifold lol. you would figure there should be that second bolt to help hold down the manifold and create a good seal...

Your PI manifold has both holes? And do you remember if your old manifold had both?
