I am thinking the same thing attached is information about this block you can buy them for $1750 but but a cheaper alternative would be an MMR block.

4.61 BIG BORE SHORTBLOCK KIT
46RA-BBSBKIT $3895
Full Shortblock kit for 4.6l engines including Manley
forged pistons and forged rods, forged steel crankshaft,
SHM moly piston rings, Federal Mogul rod bearings, and
Federal Mogul main bearings. Rotating assembly is
balanced. Includes current production 4.6L Aluminum
Block, honed to 3.70 oversize with torque plates, line
honed and decked. Kit includes ARP main studs.
Pistons available at 3.70 bore, with flat top, 11cc, 17cc,
23cc

SHM is crazy expensive... and some of his stuff from "How To Build Max-Performance 4.6 Liter Engines" clashes with some of my college textbooks...btw, this is OT, but how the hell do we do smileys??

You don't want an aluminum block if you are supercharged especially if you are forging and wanting close to 500 RWHP. Aluminum block is lighter but cylinder will warp/leak.

I'll be over 600 with the setup I'm doing. The Aluminum block will hold me till 800 or so.


Although I totally forgot about the fuel system, lol. So now I have to decide what to do there.

Anyone know what a 255 pump will actually support with a return style fuel system? I have 60# injectors.
