You're going to need it to remove the crank pulley, the others you won't need one for. Just make sure you leave the belt on when you try and get the alternator bolt out, it's a royal PITA. All the others are simple to get off the car.

You'll need a crank pulley remover *different than a p/s pulley puller* and then you'll need a p/s pulley remover obviously, lol.

I've never taken an alternator pulley off before, so you'll have to listen to sinister on that one.

Why would he have to remove the P/S pulley to install underdrives?

Because I don't know what pulleys an underdrive pulley kit include.

Judging by your tone, a kit does not include a new pulley for the p/s pump, so, he won't!

Assumptions suck huh :-(

The underdrive pulley kit from Steeda includes a new water pump pulley, an alternator pulley, and a crank shaft pulley, sometimes called a harmonic dampener.

+1 for just renting the puller. Make sure to get a harmonic balancer puller though. Youll tear up your crank pulley if you use a normal pulley puller on it.

Definitely rent it from Autozone or something like that. You buy it, then use it, and then return it and they give you a full refund. Be prepared to fight the alternator pulley though. I know I had a really hard time with it.
