where to buy the timing chain tool?

Default where to buy the timing chain tool?

i blew the driver side head gasket at the track last friday and i need to buy the tool to remove the timing chain and heads

where can i get them?

That tool only works if you leave the head on to change out the cam.You will have to remove the head to change the gasket.

Just mark the chain to the camshaft gear and at the crank gear. And just line it back up when you reinstall. Since your only taking one head off the other cylinder head chain will act like a crank holding tool and keep it in position.After all said and done hand crank the engine a few times just to make sure everything is good to be safe.

driver side..ewww. isn't that one tougher than the passenger side?

good luck, you'll learn a lot, but it can also be a hassle/bothersome project.

there not that bad. Iv'e had boths cylinder heads off before in about an 1 1/2. But i had air tools. Also a little trick grab a few rubber bands. I believe there is gonna be a few head bolts that will not come out all the way with the engine in. use the rubber bands to hold them up to prevent them from falling when you take the head off and potentionaly scrathing a cyl.
