Hey guys if I do the VT Stage 1 Cam shafts. Do I have to change anything elese on my car? And is this safe what are the pro's and con's of the vt Stage 1 cam's. How much HP and Torque.

Honestly there is alot more you can do first that will really improve the car. I did mine after full exaust and boltons. I don't think your gonna see even these gains without full exaust with LTs. I do have a pretty crappy tune though, so with a better tune you might get some more power thruout the RPM band. YOu shouldn't lose much if anything down low with stage 1s.

I ended up spending close to 2k to get em put in and tuned (I did do springs though), and I gained about 30 RWHP, but only up top, and only for about 700 RPM or so, most of the gains were pretty minimal. I do have a crappy tune, so you should make some more throughout the band.

I don't think I would do it over again if I could. A entry level vortech is only 3700 installed and tuned. 1700 bucks more and I could be making well over 400 RWHP instead of somewhere around 280.
