Does he have long tubes? Because sometimes when you start freeing up other restrictions you'll end up loosing boost.

He doesn't have any flow restrictions up front does he (e.g. MAF, TB, etc...). What do his intercooler H2O temps run (very unlikely...but curious)?

I'd say bad boost guage, but it doesn't sound like you are going by boost guage numbers alone.

I have a 10 psi setup, but on the dyno @ 5800 rpms I was only @ 8 psi.

446rwhp with Comp cams (equivalent to just stage 1), shorties, Tb and exhaust. Which is crazy low because I make 436rwhp at 10lbs and waaay less mods. So he's definitely only seeing 10lbs.

Well, there you go... Because of the increased area in the I/C it eats up a little boost but hopefully you gain the power back by being able to run more timing due to the cooler intake temps. My I/C looses 1.5 at 12psi. My intake temps are 7* above ambient and I have about 18* of timing making 436rwhp because of it. I make about 17rwhp/lbs of boost.
