I've looked into it, and from talking to a few people I've realized that putting just a little more money in and getting a shift kit would be a better idea. It covers some of the weaker spots in the tranny for the long term.

And yeah, sorry I forgot to mention it in this post, but I am an automatic.

It is going to be pretty expensive with the install: $350 part and labor. Then I'm planning to get two dyno runs which add on $70. I want the dyno runs so that I can mess with my tuner to take into account the newer gears and shift kit, and re-adjust the shift points to get the maximum from each gear.

I figure I don't need a custom tune yet until I get a couple of high quality parts into the engine.

Thanks for all the help though guys, I had no idea what j-modding was before this thread.

^^^to the taking out the valvebody and have them do the mod and send it back comment...lol. It will save you some bucks but you don't have a back up valvebody if something goes wrong with the one you install. If you go with a company or w/someone who knows what the hell they are doing you shouldn't have a problem...but you would be out of commission a lot longer if you had to resend it back to get it fixed AGAIN or to have them fix something you screwed up while you were trying to get the valvebody bolted up there. It's a cost saving method though...and that isn't a bad thing ;~)
