Default TriAx shifter position??

Just installed a Steeda TriAx shifter last night..............

I set the arm to the "short shifter" position instead of "comfortable position"...............in other words, lower. While the throws are indeed shorter, its alot harder to row now.

Does raising the position up make any significant kind of change???

why don't you just try it out and see how you feel with it? Mechanically obviously it's not gonna make a difference so you have nothing to worry about

lol well then I guess the only difference is that the throw might be a bit longer but probably nothing to really worry about

I just went out and changed it..............took about 15 minutes. Throws seem to be easier to make now so Im sticking with it.

Technically going with a shorter arm you are going to lose mechanical advantage and it will be harder to shift. It i just a lever and making it shorter will make it slightly harder to shift. I think in either position you will get used to it after a day or two.

Dont forget that the shifter loosens up a bit too in about a week or two making easier to shift and not so tight.

Yeah it will...

When I first installed my MGW, it was solid and crisp but it was kinda firm and now it shifts like butterrrrrr

i had mine lowest pos. then i changed it to the higher position i feel i get quicker shifts with it up a bit because if the leverage just changing it to the steeda makes the throw shorter from stock
