Default Question about the diablo programer. (newbie)

Im on here for a buddie of mine. He doesnt have access to the internet. Anyways he bought his first mustang last sat. 40th Ann. 2004 GT Saleen Body Convertion, Lowered, Cold-Air Intake, Throttle Body, Short Shifter, 4.09 Gears, Diablo Programer, Looks about 20% tent all around.

Anyways heres my question. On the diablo Programmer you can custom tune to what you want and have. The tune with Rev limiter you can raise it passed what the Tach says. Its at 6200 now and i can raise it to 8000. Whats a safe RPM passed the Stock limit?

well our cars stop making power at around 5250... thats where they peak i believe. so there is NO need to raise your rev limiter.. you might blow something.. keep it low unless you have heads and cams, etc... no need for it to be higher.

make sure his car is tuned for the gears 4.10 gears

I don't see any reason to want to try anything above 6200 (or even 6000 for that matter)..unless you're just into breaking schitt.

Its 2008 who doesnt have internet. Hell I'm in Iraq right now.

Like said above no need to raise the rev limiter. It wont make anymore power and will just put unneeded stress on the internals.

Were getting it inspected this weekend and then the following week he is going to be doing full exhaust headers back X-Pipe with no converters everything 2.5 with flowmasters of course. And EBC rotors and pabs all around.

Umm..yeah...8K RPM ...we're not running Hondas here. 6250 max. Although 200rpm beyond redline is just a waste. Unless the engine has been modified there's nothing (actually the power drops) after redline.
