Valvetrain Rotating mass and power loss...
 

The company that I am ordering all my parts from sells this product that claims to reduce the rotating Mass and in turn regaining some lost Hp. My argument is that since the original part weighs so little that it wouldn't matter that much.

Here's the description and some pictures. It's the red things.
MMR Billet Cam spacers (2V and 4V)

These new Cam spacers are made from 6061 T-6 Aluminum and are hard anodized RED for strength, these cam spacers reduce important rotating weight by over 80% compared to the stock spacer but still retain the strength of the heavy factory spacers. They can be installed while the engine is in the car with simple hand tools and dyno testing has proven to add Quicker engine revving and response and HP by reducing parasitic drag/weight. 2 Included per kit. As used in the MMR 2000 Horsepower racecar!

I think you nailed it dude, waste of money. what do they want for them?

based on the time i spent working at the machine shop(bout a year). id say its going to be minimal gains if anything... honestly, how much do they cost? if its cheap enough, go for it, if not let it go... yes, im sure theyll save some rotating weight, and take SOME drag off the motor... but how much are we talkin yano... the more i think about it, if their not cheap/easily in budget, dont worry about them... ever hold a cam? think that little, tiny tiny bit on the end is gonna make a SOTP differance?

To me it just seems like one of those things you do when you have a race car and every little bit counts. They use it on there 2000 HP race modular. But for someone who just wants a fun car to drive round and use for street/strip duty, I wouldn't buy it. Plus it's MMR, I dont know the price off hand, but they can be expensive.

They are $59 on the site but they are a little cheaper if you buy them with everything else.

w that price its a toss up... basically, if u have the 50 bucks to spend, do it, if u can spend it somewhere else instead, do that.
