Default Nitrous experts, why won't this work???

The pics explain the entire system. Just 2 10lb bottles (different nozzles) 2 3ft -4 lines into a NOS -4Y then into another -4line then into a regular ole open/close valve.

In theory this should work. But it doesn't. It hits hard for the first 3-4 seconds, then it almost stops spraying. I think (and don't know anything about it) what N20 is already in the lines goes to the motor, then the bottles start pushing against each other. Not really sure how to explain it.

Track trip 1 (1 bottle)
7.10's

Track trip 2 (2 bottles)
7.30's

Track trip 3 (1 bottle)
7.0's

Track trip 4 (2 bottles)
7.30's

and Thursday night 1 bottle and again, 7.0's.

WTF DOESN'T THIS SET-UP WORK???????? I paid alot of money, and spent alot of time gathering these parts and getting new brackets welded into the car, etc........ I mean seriously, how do you mess this up??? Is it having different nozzles on the bottles?

Either your the "Y" won't flow enough or your 4an line is maxed out.

im probably an idiot and when ^ said maxed out he probably ment there isn't anymore room for more juice to get through the hose/line and if not thats my theory i know nothing about N20 tho so.......

Yes, the flow capacity is not met with the setup he has.

Like JayC mentioned, you have a restriction somewhere that needs attention.

The "real street" classes at my local tracks are required to run -4 lines, and they run 250-300 shots. I don't think it's maxed out, but I could be wrong.

You wont flow any more by using 2 bottles with -4an lines....the pressure should equalize in the lines behind the solenoid you basically running a 20 lb bottle. Check your shut off valve. How big of a shot are you running?

It's works on the same principle when you are refilling your 10 pound bottle. As one bottle begins to empty, the pressure will drop. If the second bottle has more pressure it will try to refill the one with lower pressure. They will begin to pulse back and forth. Path of least resistance. Just a hunch. What are you trying to do?

No, I'm running -4 to the solenoid. Then from the solenoid to the plate are those little D3 lines. Maybe it's the little lines to the plate?

Guys, I'm not trying to get any more "flow." My car is a turd on the top end, and I thought it was b/c the pressure drops once I get to 3rd gear. But that may not be the case. So I thought if I put 20lb of N20 behind the system the pressure wouldn't drop so bad. I'm gonna swap to the -6an

Either way, I want to car trapping 101-102 (in the 1/8 mile) instead of the current 97-98 and I'm just trying to figure out why it won't. I'm certain it's an N20 flow problem. Thanks for the help

NX told me the 3's were good for ~ 175 hp. Go 4 all the way!
