My catback drones and is very loud inside my car. I've never thought twice about trading it out. Some of us are just less appreciative of an exhaust than others....lol
I just drove an hour and a half each way on Friday to go to the track, and I had to turn the radio up to 3/4 just to hear it, and then talk as loud as possible w/o yelling to get a point across..I still love it.

if you want something with litlte/no-drone and still want a punch over stock, you can go with: borlas(not stingers),steeda, magnaflow. id personally go with magnaflow because at a punch it still purs up nice.

For the money they charge for the chambered Borla catback, I'd go with something different. I've heard from a few people that they're not only very quiet, they don't even sound that wonderful (and they're close to 850-900 new)

Cost wise a new exhaust set up is expensive. Look at getting a couple of bulk pacs of Dynamat and with some elbow grease mat you trunk, doors and floor boards. It worked wonders on my car. Your stereo will sound much better you cab will be much quiter. It sounds like the whole car got much tighter. Yes it will add about 20lbs to the weight of the car and it will cost about 240 for 2 bulk pacs but it will let you keep your exhaust set up as is.

"So, you'll take the mufflers?"
"I dunno, what others can you mimic?"

I called about a dozen performance muffler shops. The consensus was Borla, Corsa, or Magnaflows. Evidently the Corvette owners prefer Corsa. I talked to one shop that seemed to really know what they were talking about. He said for the price he recommended Magnaflows. He said he replaces Flowmaster 40s and SLPs all of the time. But he sold only full cat-back systems.
The local muffler shop is going to put a pair of weld-in Magnaflows for $280 installed. His distributor told him that this was a common problem with Flowmaster 40s and that the Magnaflows would take car of the problem.
