Default headlight **** keeps coming off

How do I get this thing to stay on? It started coming off shortly after I bought the car then I got it to stay somehow. Was fine for a month or so then tonight I went to put my lights on and was rewarded with a plastic headlight **** in my hand and no lights. Is there some trick to getting it to stay?

Replace the ****, the little metal tab on the **** itself is probably bent and/or worn out...

+1 theres a little metal retainer thats in the **** if thats damaged or missing your head light **** will never stay on. see if its still in there. if it is try bending it so it holds on the switch better.

lol i had the same issue, i just put it back on and gave it a little tap, ive found that if i pull them on quick i dont have to worry about it comign off but if i goto put them on and pull it slowly it sometimes comes off, also sometimes pulling it is easier then others, if thats the case i just push it back and re-pull it.

Hmm I'll have to take a look tomorrow. Funny thing is mine started coming off in the first place because I pulled it quickly. Go figure.

Where can I get a new one if needed? I'm sure the dealer would charge an arm and a leg.

I bought a replacement at Ford. It wasn't that bad.

American Muscle sells Mach 1 front wings for $99.99. The Ford dealership sold me one for $100.00. Sometimes the dealer price on parts isn't too bad.

Don't glue it on! If you ever need to take off that bash bezel, you'll be screwed.
