Default mid-pipe question

I really want to get a catless x pipe because my car needs to be louder. but my dad says it will not pass emissions and I have to pass emissions where I live. However, I am looking at this picture from the pypes website and it looks like the o2 sensors plug in before the cats. wouldn't that mean that the emissions system in the car would not be able to read the cars emissions after those plug ins? last time I had emissions done on my car, the guy just plugged something in under my dash for a second and told me it passed. he didn't put anything in the exhaust pipe so I don't understand why it wouldn't pass? Can anyone help me out here? The picture has cats but it shows the o2 plug ins well.

as long as u get MILs or make your own so the car doesnt throw codes it will pass the code check but where i live they do a visual check for cats. If your state doesnt do that you should be fine

Get the bassani catted X. You can change it from o/r to a catted midpipe. Its pretty sweet. Leave it o/r then when emissions come bolt the cats in. Or just buy a o/r pipe and get mils or you can also buy a o/r pipe and buy a tuner and just turn off the CEL.

If your car is really loud they'll probably suspect something's up and check underneath.
But you can avoid the CEL by getting a programmer or mils.

mils dont work 100% though, and ive also seen them fail, safest way is to get a sct xcal 3 tuner from brenspeed and have them disable them in the tune.

what are mils? I think I actually might just try and get electric cutoffs though. would that sound good with cats?

Or you could just buy a o/r pipe and when it comes to inspection time just put on your stock one!

I'm lucky enough that i know a place that will pass me when i get my o/r up. I agree with most peopl in keeping a catted midpipe so that if you dont pass just put it back up an take it off when your done.
