Default Rough Idle, Acceleration

Im having the average rough idle and sputtering acceleration that seems to pop up here every now and then, but along with it when the engine spins back down after revving up (along with random other times), I hear a loud metallic clanking. I put some fuel system cleaner in it, and im gonna clean the IAC and check for vacuum leaks, but that clanking is confusing me as to what its from. Also the drivers exhaust pipe is really loud and smells real rich compared to the passenger side.

Update: Cleaned IAC, that didnt help. Theres alot of carbon buildup in the plenum, and the drivers side spark plugs are significantly more darkened than the passenger ones. I checked all coils and they seem to be good too.

Do you have an exhaust leak? From what you describe is sounds (no pun intended) as though you do.

That can make the O2 sensor report a lean mix, causing the PCM to make it richer...

Sounds like the drivers side catalytic converter (or converters) are blocked
