My college experience isn't helping at all, but then again I am in the health sciences so that might explain why, haha...I read over it a few times and it does make since...and actually I've been hard pressed to find a company saying their aftermarket COP's will improve horsepower and torque so there you go...thanks for the response to my question Ck and thanks for not being offended by me asking you that...I guess sometimes us enthusiasts get excited over seeing a new item hit the market and become soo hipnotized by the company and their VERY selective words and we immediately see MORE HP/TQ when it is indeed full of shti...do you see any benefit at all to running these on a normal compression N/A engine or an engine seeing over 10 lbs of boost...??

my education does! i'm on my second quarter for Automotive Technology. i'll also be attending a seminar in the spring at EFI University and i'll be attending Georgia Tech next fall for Mechanical Engineering. so i've got a lot to learn in a short amount of time!

but anyways.... i'd also love to see a dyno before and after of the WeaponX coils on a n/a and f/i PI 2v

Shinobi,

So you'll be one of those "Ramblin' wrecks from Georgia Tech, but one heck of an engineer!"

Cool!

=========================================
DeathRattle,

You asked
do you see any benefit at all to running these on a normal compression N/A engine or an engine seeing over 10 lbs of boost...??
Since you asked "any benefit", I have to say yes.

Some of them, in the brighter colors, can look really "trick" under the hood and will impress the crap out of the Fast and Furious crowd...

Which, gets me to a somewhat embarrassing part of this thread, here's what the Accel "Super COPs" look like on my engine.

I saw them at a car show in Daytona, new (old stock) in the boxes, the vendor wanted $135 for the set and after some haggling I got them for $100.

I knew they would not make any difference in performance, but I hadn't seen anything else at the show that I could buy with the $100 SWMBO said I could spend (and I was damned if I was going to give it back to her)...

It also means I have a set of OEM COPs with 30k on 'em in the attic; and they sure look trick...

haha! i dunno bout that one...i'm actually a UGA fan! but hey, i don't wanna be broke, so gotta spend money to make some money or to learn in my case...speaking of learning, i'm assuming you graduated somewhere in mechanical engineering if you're teaching remedial, where did you graduate from, if you don't mind me asking??

LMAO! i would've bought them too for $100, if just to resell them for anything.

You'll be finding out about the Ramblin' wreck soon enough...

MIT, class of '71, which seems like one heck of a long time ago when I think about it...

Damn Cliffy. You hurt my head. I followed what you were laying down by all that but that caused my brain to cramp up a little.

It was $3500/year in 1968, with in-state credits and crap it was still $2400--believe it or not that was a ton of money back then...
