Weird tire slippage problem at WOT
So ever since a day or two ago I realized that when I gun the gas on first, my tires would just start slipping. It never really did this before.
Sometimes it doesn't slip at all, sometimes I can hear a churp alittle past 5000rpm's and sometimes I just start slipping badly at the beginning.
It sounds awesomely powerful and all but firstly of course that means i'm going nowhere and secondly and more importantly, it didn't usually do this so i'm kinda worried.
I installed a borla catback a few days ago so I guess I got a bit more HP but I doubt this is the case.
I also removed the spare tire but have had that removed for a long time so I don't think that is a factor. I noticed this problem and tested it the most just tonight... My tank was about 1/8 full so I don't know that is a factor too.
I'm just worried could this be a problem with my differential or something? I also checked my tire pressure and it is still sitting on 32psi as normal.
Thanks,
Brandon

tires are worn? its getting colder as well, plus lack of fuel in the tank reduces weight.
Unless its a tire problem, there really isn't much that could be "wrong" with the car unless you have managed to tear up something like a shock etc... and you should be able to tell that cause the car would handle terribly.

So wait, you are complaining about spinning the tires? If your car CANT spin the tires in first than I'd be posting complaining.
Its colder out, you have less weight in the rear, and you probably picked up 3-5hp with a good catback...congrats.. you can spin the tires

When my 03 was stock it would spin a little in 1st when I gave it gas. Not like roast the tires but that normal tire squeal. I've had my car break loose in 3rd gear at HIGH rpms..
God I love boost.

depends on the road surface, sometimes i can be going like 7 mph and floor it in 1st and spin to like 35, hit 2nd and chirp for like 2 seconds
some roads i can floor it in 1st at like 7 and have no slippage and not chirp 2nd

I'm just saying that is never really did this before so I don't know if theres something wrong. I'm running 245's on stock rims with the mighty **** Kumho ecsta ASX... still have a lot of thread left
