I am not gonna give up on the 98 cause its a beautiful car and runs excellent. I definitely have some plans for the car. Some things I am gonna add are a Mac h pipe, i already have a borla side exit exhaust, PI intake for now( i have adaptor plates not livernois's tho) 4.10 gears, pulleys, bbk70mm throttle body, accufab plenum, densecharger with pro-m, some bbk long tube headers, and then after i have those I am gonna save up for some ported PI heads and get a set of VT stage 2 cams to go with it. Oh yeah no giving up on this car I just needed to bitch about something thats all.

Oh yeah the honda thing most of the hondas here are high 13 second vehicles.

Well id say get the 4:10's then get a CAI w/ Throttle body and plenum and do full exhaust, long tube headers, no cat mid pipe and cat back exhaust then tell us what ya think. You'll be happy. I did that but i have 3:73's and a few more mods and I can smoke GTPs thats a supercharged v6. I smoked my buddys 05 wrx. Thats turbocharged. So dont give up potential is there

you mean "NO CAT" back exhaust

NEVAH lost.... except to a Mercedes.

2000SI.... S/C stock GT SN-95 = 60-80 HP lol. nitrous for less = 60-80 HP

thats why you buy a new pulley, and then you have instant-always on boost.
Without doing the supporting mods, any power adder isn't going to see its true potential. With a s/c'er, he can never run anyone on motor. What fun is that?

ha.....HA.....HAHAHA.

I think I just peed myself. You're losing to hondas and newer V6's? I lost to a 2005 M3 and that's all for V6's....

My PI swap is chocked for just under the $700 mark all said and done. Where you got $1,500 I don't know.. (Full swap kits can be had for $1,300).

4.30's will be awesome.... 4.30's

around 415hp and ran mid 12's in the 1/4 mile but i had to get rid of it due to having to run 93 and getting 8 miles to the gallon in town because of my 700cfm holley double pumper.
Lesson: You sold the chebby and bought a ford...who won? Ford did. They make these cars so that they get 20mpg and can make it over speed bumps at the office. You could have 415hp in a mustang too, but you won't get that 20mpg anymore. And why not just change the carb then? Then for racing put it back on.

Oh, and where are stock foxes with street tires running 14.0's? Casper was running a 14.7 I think, almost all stock on street tires... 14.3 vs. 14.7? Eh.

I have beaten my fair share of foxes pre 4.30's.

My best time with Underdrive pulleys, coil packs, X-pipe and flow's, 3.73's and a CAI was a 14.2 on street tires. My best with just Flows and 3.73's was a 14.7. I can drive though. I dont think i'll be happy until in in the 11's with my SN-95.

god this car is my worst investment ever...you have to spend fortunes on this damn year model to get any damn horsepower worth a sh*t. I love the car the car is awesome V-8, 5 speed power everything and black leather everywhere. I just wish it was alittle cheaper to get HP outta them.. First thing you have to do is a 1500$ headswap. Which for a college kid is not really possible. I mean i spent $2000 on my 89 camaro's 350 and cranked out around 415hp and ran mid 12's in the 1/4 mile but i had to get rid of it due to having to run 93 and getting 8 miles to the gallon in town because of my 700cfm holley double pumper. I am gonna get some 4.10's for this car here soon to see if i can liven it up some and make it fun to drive again. i just get tired of getting beaten my newer V-6s, f'in hondas, and numerous other ricers type car that run quicker than me in the 1/4. What was ford thinking when they made these cars were there heads up there asses or something? Sorry for the rant guys i am a diehard mustang fan. I just get tired of getting beat by almost everything on the road. But done worry i wouldnt get rid of my stang...MUSTANGS ALL THE WAY!!!!

ya why don't you go cry about it??

JKJKJK. yeah i almost bought a pre 99 GT like a 96-98 but they are expensive as hell. you should get 4.30s and nitrous and then feel special. and in the time being look on ebay for some aftermarket heads to liven it up some more.

Hey, you mentionec you have the PI intake only, but with a spacer? I did my intake swap sans the head swap some months ago WITHOUT a spacer or anything. Only used RTV around the coolant passages--it bolted on beautifully--no leaks and runs great. Was it worth the extra dough? Any gains? I saw absolutely NO gainst through just the PI intake swap, contrary to popular opinion. You?

Well i ordered the 4.30's today and they will be here at the end of the week. I just had to rant alittle bit i am not that unhappy with my car. I just needed my b!tching time lol..Nitrous and 4.30 that sounds pretty fun....hahahha the reason I said $1500 for a PI swap is because Heads, intake, stage 2 VT cams, springs, and tune. I dont want to have to install the heads and intake and then tear it down again just to add cams. Just do it all i once i say.
